چکیده
Boehmite nanoparticles show great potential in improving mechanical properties of fiber reinforced polymers. In order to predict the nanocomposites, knowledge about material parameters constituent phases, including boehmite particles, is crucial. this study, behavior investigated using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experiments and Molecular Dynamic Finite Element Method (MDFEM) simulations. The Young’s modulus perfect crystalline derived from numerical AFM Results on deviate significantly. Possible causes are identified by complementary types boehmite, i.e. geological hydrothermally synthesized samples, further simulations imperfect crystals combined boehmite/epoxy models. Under certain circumstances, was found be dominated inelastic effects that discussed detail present work. studies substantiated with accompanying X-ray Diffraction Raman experiments.

Finite Element Simulation of Contact Mechanics of Cancer Cells in Manipulation Based on Atomic Force Microscopy
The theory of contact mechanics deals with stresses and deformations which arise when the surfaces of two solid bodies are brought into contact. In elastic deformation contact occurs over a finite area. A regular method for determining the dimensions of this area is Hertz Contact Model. Appearance of atomic force microscope results in introduction of Contact ...

Discovering the mechanical properties of biological composite structures at the Nano-scale is much interesting today. Top Neck mollusk shells are amongst biomaterials Nano-Composite that their layered structures are composed of organic and inorganic materials. Since the Nano indentation process is known as an efficient method to determine mechanical properties like elastic modulus and hardness ...
متن کاملAtomic force microscopy: Studying mechanical properties of a cell
Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is a modern imaging technique that generates height representations of a sample surface with subnanometer resolution. Since 1986 it has evolved into a versatile tool which also provides maps of elastic and viscoelastic properties. AFM offers the opportunity to image samples with or without treatment in various environments. Aim of this work is a short description o...

متن کاملDetermination of cellular strains by combined atomic force microscopy and finite element modeling.
Many organs adapt to their mechanical environment as a result of physiological change or disease. Cells are both the detectors and effectors of this process. Though many studies have been performed in vitro to investigate the mechanisms of detection and adaptation to mechanical strains, the cellular strains remain unknown and results from different stimulation techniques cannot be compared. By ...
